Music makes me happy. It’s my absolute soul food.
For every pivotal moment in my life I could name a song. A song that is wrapped in layers of time, emotion and memories. All of which have played a part in shaping where I am today.
Seeing live music is a real passion of mine. OK, I’m not hitting three day festivals these days (anyone keen?), but I do try and see live gigs in & around Sydney. It’s like all inhibitions are thrown out the door – you are right there, at that moment, experiencing something real and truly authentic. I wish I could bottle it.
I’ll be sharing my current playlists on the blog on a regular basis (via spottily). Think of it like an old-school mixed tape, its got a bit of this & a bit of that. Some old & some new. Thats how I like my music, not constrained by type or genre, just a collection of great soulful tunes (on high rotation). Our home is happiest with music, it’s like our daily family therapy. Whether its watching the girls bust out their jazz hands or relishing in the sweet melodies of an acoustic session – music really is magic.
