Sugar & spice and all things nice. Party planning for the little ladies in my life is something I love. So many options and styles to work with, Im thinking of hosting un-birthdays to get a more regular fix. Very Mad Hatteresque!
For Ivy’s 6th Birthday she requested an all girl affair; she’s still at the age where boys ‘smell’ and make ‘silly noises’. We’re more than happy to run with this until she’s 18.
Ivy spends hours getting crafty and creating all sorts of masterpieces so I wanted to find an activity that supported this. Being a Spring baby; flowers seemed a perfect choice. I found a great new Sydney venue that hosts creative floral workshops; Fleur Atelier. It ticked all the boxes – creative, hands on and oh so pretty.
The girls spent the afternoon learning the art of flower arranging in a Fleur Atelier ‘posy’ workshop. They picked, pruned, collated and then decorated little mason jars to house their beautiful arrangements. Seriously, they were amazing. The girls were so engaged and what they created was really impressive.
I created and set-up a sugary high tea buffet for the little ladies and it was an afternoon of sweet floral love. Ivy was one happy birthday girl.
